1st Line IT Support Engineer

Location: Sandwich, Kent


We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and confident individual to join our expanding Technical Support Team, providing a range of IT skills to meet our customer needs throughout the UK.

Role overview
Working out of our Sandwich Office, Kent, your responsibilities include:
  • Provide remote and onsite 1st line technical support for hardware and software issues within SLA
  • Manning the Service Desk phone and ensuring all problem tickets are logged into our Helpdesk System
  • Keeping the customers updated regularly with the ticket progress
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and demonstrate the ability and desire to go ‘above and beyond’ for our customers
  • Share technical knowledge and regularly update the Internal Knowledge Base
Required Skills:
  • Experience of working in a busy IT Service Desk environment (1-2 Years)
  • Administration of Microsoft 365 and Office desktop suite
  • Experience of Windows Server platforms, including experience with Active Directory (2016/2019)
  • Setup and maintenance of PC’s, troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems
  • Installation and setup of VoIP phones and wireless access points
  • Carry out routine network maintenance tasks
  • Confident customer facing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Professional attitude
  • Efficient time keeping
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Flexible approach to working outside of normal office hours if required
  • Full UK driving license as you will be expected to travel to customer sites
Desirable Skills:
  • A good understanding of VoIP/PBX/SIP protocols (Avaya/3CX)
  • Networking experience. Installations, upgrades and troubleshooting (Cisco/UniFi)
  • Understanding of networking concepts and services such as DNS and DHCP
